An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment

A loss of interest in judging self

A loss of interest in judging others

A loss of interest in conflict

A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others

A loss of ability to worry (this is a very serious symptom)

Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation

Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature

Frequent attacks of smiling through the eyes of the heart

The Terma Collective “The Box: Remembering the Gift”

what in your life is calling you?
when all the noise is silenced,
the meetings adjourned,
the lists laid aside,
and the wild iris blooms by itself in the dark forest,
what still pulls on your soul?

in the silence between your heartbeats hides a summons.
do you hear it?
name it, if you must,
or leave it nameless,
but why pretend it is not there?

how to brand a disease

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

I was reading some older BodyTalk newsletters and found this interesting post on how the pharmaceutical companies market their new products.  Check out the article~

Article by Dr. Carl Elliott M.D,
An interesting article covering PR branding of pharmaceuticals that treat a range of diseases such as “social anxiety disorder,” a condition previously known as “shyness”, or “urge incontinence” which many patients refer to as “accidentally peeing in my pants”.
….pharmaceutical marketers now sell drugs by selling the diseases that they treat. The buzzword is “disease branding.”

To brand a disease is to shape its public perception in order to make it more palatable to potential patients. Panic disorder, reflux disease, erectile dysfunction, restless legs syndrome, bipolar disorder, overactive bladder, ADHD, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, even clinical depression: All these conditions were once regarded as rare until a marketing campaign transformed the brand.
Once a branded disease has achieved a degree of cultural legitimacy, there is no need to convince anyone that a drug to treat it is necessary. It will come to him as his own idea.

LONG-LIFE SECRET: Take a Therapeutic Bath

I took the Master Healer course awhile back with Nani.  Also attending was a man who had studied radionics and followed the work of Dr. Hazel Parcells.  Parcells was known as the “Grande Dame of alternative medicine”, researched energy healing and detoxification, and lived to 106.  One of her long-life secrets was to cleanse your internal environment too.  Here is one of Dr. Parcells’ personal bathing formulas.

Bathing formula 1:  This is recommended after exposure to X-rays, environmental radiation, and Cobalt-60 for symptoms of headaches, nausea, cramps, or muscle aches.  Mix 1 pound of sea or rock salt and 1 pound of baking soda in a tub of very hot water.  Immerse your body in the water for at least 20 minutes or until the water cools to body temperature.  Do not shower or rinse the salt off your body for 8 hours.

I did it and it feels great!  Why not invite some physical cleansing to coincide with your New Years resolutions?

5 root causes of disease

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

A few years ago I had the opportunity to attend an Ayurveda retreat put on by Floracoepia called “In Search of the Medicine Buddha”.  One of the speakers was a Tibetan doctor.  She explained that from the understanding of Tibetan medicine, there are five root causes of disease.    They are:

*nutrition root~overfed, undernourished

*environmental toxicity

*socio-economic stress~life combined with $money worries

*spiritual disconnection with nature

*iatrogenic~improper diagnosis by doctors and improper combination of drugs

She emphasized the importance of having a garden and how it can cure it all.   Not only can you grow your own food, but also medicines.  If you can’t have a garden, in what ways can you grow towards living in a fashion that supports more sustainable ways?  Can you examine your life to eliminate or bring balance to these root issues?

thinking outside the box

Friday, October 7th, 2011

This week I noticed how the universe kept me returning to present moment awareness.  It ReALLy* is so much more pleasant of an experience in this place.  Well, for me, anyways.  Less grasping. figuring. thinking. doing.  MOre space. openness. allowing.  It feels easier here 🙂

Last night I read some of the shaman forecast.   There was a feeling of resonance when I read:

”What we need to learn is to be more present so we can fully embrace what is in front of us and then let it go with gratitude for the experience it provided. We need to learn to be less attached so that we can turn away from the old view and toward the new one with less resistance. We also need to learn to be more trusting and confident that the view we are creating that we are turning toward is exactly what we want and need. We need to face this view with confidence, enthusiasm and excitement instead of with fear.”

It speaks about this sense of transition into all the spaces and places we have been dreaming into.  I take rest and comfort in that transcendent feeling.      How about you>>?       Letting go of all the old patterns that no longer serve you and re*create something new ~  It’s just something you can’t yet see.  Still off on the horizon.   how exciting!  I wonder if it will be something tangible or just a greater feeling of love in the heart and all things yummy, divine~

In what ways do fear and thoughts of limitation hold you back?  Is it your health?   (Remember: it is your WeALtH***)

I thought to share a story from a client of mine.  This 3 year old girl was diagnosed with Autistic/Aspergers symptoms.  She had inflammation in her brain, chronic gut infection, and more.  Rather than accept the diagnosis, her mom was open minded.  Perhaps the symptoms were just that.  Symptoms.  They used many alternative therapies/modalities and I had the opportunity to provide sessions.  Slowly and gradually she unraveled and now is overall doing phenomenal.  She even learned to swim in 2 days:)

What box are you living in?  Whose thoughts are those?  What needs stillness for reflection?  What pattern needs to be released or transmuted or transformed?  What needs to be embraced ?  Who needs to be loved?  Maybe you are the medicine you need.  DIve in***
